Close by, there are numerous tavernas and restaurants offering a range of tempting traditional or international menus. The shops along the harbour front have many holiday mementos and gift ideas for you to buy or you can visit some of our art galleries and museums. Everything is within easy walking distance from the Alkionides Pension. And a holiday on our beautiful island wouldn't be complete without a swim in the crystal clear sea off one of the unspoiled beaches of Hydra. Caiques make regular trips from the harbour to the beaches at the end of the island for those who want to explore a bit further.

"Very good"

The location was excellent. The room was very clean and bed comfortable

"The perfect place for our visit to Hydra."

This was our second stay at Alkionides (the first was in 2021). The hotel is very well located, an easy walk up from the port in a quiet spot close to everything. Our room was clean and bright, just off the main patio/courtyard where a generous breakfast is served. Stella gives the place a personal touch and again made sure we were comfortable and lacked for nothing. Highly recommended.

The room was 3 min walk from the port, close to shops, restaurants and a cool outdoor cinema. It was very clean and quiet. The room was supplied with coffee and milk. The host was very kind to us.

"Relaxing and Peaceful Stay"

Located just a few steps away from the port so it's in a quieter location with wonderful little restaurants tucked around the corners. The owners are very kind and patient and helpful with any questions or needs that you may have. Hydra is such a truly enchanting place and this the perfect place to stay, especially in the spacious room with the terrace... enjoy your coffee and breakfast in the morning, read a book in the afternoon sun in the afternoon and then, wine and snacks in the evening! Definitely worth spending a little more if you are able.

A very comfortable and well appointed room with an amazing private terrace that was almost as large as the room! The property is a short walk from the Ferry port and steps to great shops, restaurants and bars.
